When art comes to the Pays Foyen
Imagined by the Ministry of Culture and the Parc de la Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris, the Micro-Folie du Pays Foyen aims to democratize access to culture. Twelve institutions took part in the launch of the project: The Center Pompidou, the Château de Versailles, the Cité de la Musique – Philharmonie de Paris, the Festival d'Avignon, the Institut du Monde Arabe, the Louvre, the Musée National Picasso Paris , the Musée d'Orsay, the Musée du Quai Branly Jacques Chirac, the Réunion des Musées Nationaux Grand Palais and Universcience.
Une Micro-Folie offers fun and technological cultural content that can take place in different structures. La Micro-Folie is now located at the Pays Foyen Tourist Office, rue de la République in Sainte-Foy-la-Grande.
A digital museum
Micro-Folie is mainly based on a digital museum. The latter allows you to discover the treasures of the largest partner institutions. Digitized in very high definition, the works of this digital gallery amaze. This museum is very easy to access and represents a first step before actually visiting the partner museums. Today, 6 collections are available at the digital museum and two modes of visit are possible; the free visit and the lecturer mode.
Tablets then make it possible to interact with all the content offered and also provide access to games (puzzles, musical games, etc.) for the youngest.
Thanks to very high resolution images, you will then be able to discover a magnificent sunset over the Palace of Versailles or even discover the smallest details of La Mona Lisa by zooming in on the tablets.
When art and culture become fun
La Micro-Folie du Pays Foyen also has a Virtual reality with 5 helmets. Many videos are available in 360 ° and allow total immersion in the videos. It is then possible to swim with the sharks, to fly in a hot air balloon or to discover the secrets of the great paintings. This content created in partnership with ARTE is accessible from the age of 6.

A device that is particularly aimed at teachers
This cultural tool is part of the projects ofartistic and cultural education schools. The tablets allow a fun-educational approach and thus facilitate the transmission of knowledge. The objective of Micro-Folies is to arouse the curiosity of the youngest and introduce them to the fields of arts and culture. A time slot can be reserved for a class on a specific theme. The teacher can then create his tailor-made visit with the works he wishes to distribute.
