Castle located on the roads of St Jacques de Compostelle between Bergerac and Sainte-Foy la Grande. From guard duty in the XNUMXth century, it became a stronghold in the XNUMXth century before being transformed after the Middle Ages into a dwelling. Remarkable dovecote erected in the XNUMXth century.
Originally a XNUMXth century guard tower dependent on Duras. It was reinforced in the XNUMXth century to become a stronghold.
During the Hundred Years War the Constable DU GUESCLIN laid siege to it for 5 days.
In the XNUMXth/XNUMXth century, it was transformed into a residence and a remarkable dovecote was built.
