What is the tourist tax?

The tourist tax is a tax paid by holidaymakers over 18 and collected by hosts or online booking platforms. This applies per person and per night and its amount depends on the type of accommodation and its classification. The tourist tax is then transferred to the Community of Communes of the Pays Foyen and allocated to expenditure intended to promote tourism development

One-off or regular rental of a gîte, your house, a guest room or a campsite: compulsory declaration of your tourist accommodation.

Before you start renting your accommodation, you must complete a declaration of rental to the town hall of your municipality where the tourist accommodation is located via an adequate cerfa.

Declare and pay your tourist tax

All accommodation providers must collect tourist tax via a free online declaration platform. The declarations are semi-annual, the hosts receive a notification as soon as the declaration periods open.

The access code to the tourist tax declaration platform is sent to you at the start of the declaration period. However, if you do not have an access code, you can request them by email at the address l.bagillet@paysfoyen.fr

From January 1, 2024, the prices applied in the territory of the Communauté de Communes du Pays Foyen will evolve in accordance with the regulations. These were voted on during the Community Council (deliberation of May 30, 2023).

New in 2024: entry into force of the TAR
